Inline or side-by-side?

I had an in depth discussion with a customer on the phone today. She was looking for a new buggy for her two children aged 8 months and 2 and a half years.

She phoned initially to discuss the pros and cons of the Mountain Buggy +one and the Phil&Teds Explorer. We talked over the configurations, the foot room, the view (for the kids and the 'driver') and the single buggy that is left when the eldest child no longer requires it's services.

The caller then informed me that really she would prefer a side-by-side double, (she was worried her toddler would pull it's younger sibling's hair!) but as she lives in London and has trouble getting through some doorways with her Bugaboo Cameleon, this was not an option. I introduced her to the Mountain Buggy Duet, we did a few width comparisons, and she was amazed!

The upshot was that she called me back 5 mins later and ordered a Duet. It is on its way to her and I am looking forward to hearing her experiences of using it in London.

We would love to know if you have experience of using a double buggy, whether you opted for an inline or side-by-side version and whether you were happy with your choice? It is always good to get as much feedback as possible so that we can use this to inform our customers when we are asked. Much appreciated!
